Coffee shops historically have been a gathering spot for poets, artists and malcontents seeking a forum to espouse their views; which just happens to be the purpose of this community. So, let's have at it.

Free Coffee!

October 3rd 2006 06:22
Do you live or plan to travel the the Northeastern part of the United States? Are you a teacher, fire fighter, police officer, veteran or an "everyday hero?"

Dunkin Donuts in the Northeast are for the next 6 months, offering free coffee to "everyday heroes." Each month a new profession will be featured, starting with teachers in October.

Hmm no writers are featured, nor lawyers nor doctors it seems. But I guess that's fair.

After all, on a teacher's salary, who can afford the $2.50 cup?

Identification is required and coffee will be available every Monday.
