Coffee shops historically have been a gathering spot for poets, artists and malcontents seeking a forum to espouse their views; which just happens to be the purpose of this community. So, let's have at it.

If it were true, what's your best alternative?

Yes... that is tea.

In relation to Raven's post "R U Joking... No Coffee Beans?" -- I was just wondering, yes Raven, I know the idea itself is horrendous, but it's not far from happening. You said it yourself.

Anyway, I always think about that whenever I go to work at 2 or 3 in the early wee mornings. What if, just a what-if.... There really are no more coffee beans, or their prices have sky-rocketed to ridiculous amounts that buying a capuccino's almost as expensive as those oohh so yummy pair of peep-toe shoes... would you keep buying and drinking coffee?

If not... what would be your best alternative?

Oh, sorry. I haven't even greeted you a good mornin'!

Have a seat right there, and if you dare, pretend I have no coffee beans. What else tickle your taste buds?

Here's a site that can give you an idea for the unthinkable.

I want to share this image with you while we're at it. Maybe this will be Starbucks' future if people stop drinking "gourmet coffee"... hope you do get what that establishment is about... found it at engrish.com funny site of any mis-use and puns of the english language most of the time from signages in a lot of asian countries.

I love tea. I want to study tea actually because it's such a dynamic drink. If I had no coffee - it's tea all the way.

OK - when petrol gets too expensive I will walk the 18k's to work but if coffee is $100- a cup for breakfast then screw it, I am working the streets at night to satisfy my need!!

Amy: good for you! I'm starting to appreciate tea myself I guess I just have to look at the right places. We have so many different teas here that some just make me ... blech!

Raven, i knew that. I had to be cautious in reminding you several times it's just a scenario all throughout the post. Haven't u noticed? hahah

Jason: well i see a new coffee addict here. Yes, it's the unthinkable but it's very possible.. still looks far in the future if it does happen

nice seeing everyone here!
