Summer's here (or at least the weather is nice enough!) Time to find new ways to enjoy our favourite beverage. This week, we're looking at a more adult way to enjoy a very adult twist on a sweet drink: Amaretto Iced Coffee. That light touch of almond liquer makes this coffee milkshake oh so refreshing.
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups cold brewed coffee, cold
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1/4 cup Amaretto
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
Crushed ice
PREPARATION:
Combine everything except ice in a blender and whip until smooth. Fill glasses half full with crushed ice, and fill the rest with coffee mixture.
Serves 6
Use espresso instead of brewed coffee! Just replace the 3 cups of coffee with 3 shots of espresso and blend the coffee mixture with some crushed ice.
