Unwanted Instant Party Cell Phone
March 29th 2010 23:21
I have had so many cell phones in my life that I have lost count. Contract, pre pay, whatever. My latest phone is a Samsung something something. Not a smartphone or anything but I like it. For me I just want to get calls and make them. For all other things I use my laptop.
After I switched phone companies I had the number changed also. No biggie because I had my number forwarded and let close friends and family know about the change. So everything was going good, until one day I hear this sound and look around to find where it is coming from. It stopped so I figured maybe I was hearing things or something. Well a few seconds later there it is again. So I trace the source with some good ole fashioned detective work and find its coming from my cellphone. Wow that was fast someone texted me already. So I thought. So I open up the phone to find this...
Oh cool tonight its a party at club Zentra..whatever the heck that is. 10 bucks for men thats not bad at all. Good info. The only thing is WHY THE HECK IS IT ON MY PHONE? So at first I think it could be just some random thing and simply ignore it. After all since this was on a Friday such a mistake could have easily been made.
The next day there is that same freakin noise. This time from a totally different number if it is even from a cell number since its only 5 numbers in the "sent from" tag.
So whatever a Waka Floka is now I'm no longer amused. Oh but ding dong again here comes another one. If you remember from the first picture where it says 5x2! I am guessing that this means the second message because they always come in pairs like some Star Wars sith or something.
Argg! Now I have recieved about 68 messages and my inbox is full of these. My inbox is almost full and 90 percent are party messages. I tried to text back but it does not seem to matter. Advice given to me was contact my local provider and tell them about it. Guess I will try but first I wanted to figure out why me? My conclusion is that the previous owner subscribed to some sort of party info link and when their phone service was canceled I inherited this um "service".
The irony of it all is that sadly I would not have minded such a service in my earlier years. Since I"m getting up there I debate on if I its harassment or just that I don't know who wacka flocka is.
